NFT Price Alerts: Floor, Item & Trait Triggers

Price alerts watch the market for you and ping the moment a floor, a specific NFT, or a trait hits your price — evaluated live on the feed Chadbot already runs, delivered in-app and to your wallet. Here's how they work and how to set one up.

Quick answer
A price alert pings you when a price drops to your target: a collection floor, a specific NFT, or a trait (one or more attributes). Chadbot evaluates alerts event-driven on its live Tensor + Magic Eden feed — so they fire within seconds. Every alert delivers in-app (toast + inbox) and via Dialect, which can forward to email, Telegram and more — with a self-deleting lifetime (1d / 7d / 30d) you can pause, renew or edit.
// Key takeaways
  • Alert on a collection floor, a specific NFT, or a trait (single or multi-trait).
  • Event-driven, not polled — fires on the next live listing event, within seconds, zero extra marketplace calls.
  • Always in-app + Dialect — and Dialect relays to email, Telegram & more; fire-once with a per-tier cooldown.
  • A lifetime of 1d / 7d / 30d keeps nothing forever — pause or renew to keep one longer.
  • Quota scales with your Chad tier: 5 for non-holders, then 15 / 30 / 50.

What is a price alert?

Watching a collection by hand is a losing game — the dip you're waiting for happens while you're asleep. A price alert is a standing watch: you set a target price, and Chadbot pings you the instant the market crosses it. It's the difference between refreshing Tensor all day and getting tapped on the shoulder exactly when it matters.

Alerts are edge-triggered: one ping on the downward crossing of your target, not a stream of notifications while the price sits below it. One-shot by default; flip on Repeat to re-arm after a cooldown.

Floor, item & trait alerts

TypeFires whenSet it from
FloorAny item in the collection lists at or below your price Collection toolbar
ItemThat exact NFT is listed at or below your priceThe NFT detail page or its modal
TraitAn item matching your trait(s) lists at or below your priceBrowse traits in the alert modal, or tap a trait on an NFT

Trait alerts support multiple constraints with the same logic as trait bidding: OR within a category, AND across categories. So Hat = Anchor Homburg or Fedora and Background = Orange fires only on an item matching every category.

How alerts fire — without hammering the APIs

Most alert tools poll: they ask the marketplace "what's the price now?" every few seconds for every watch. That's slow and burns rate limits. Chadbot doesn't poll. It evaluates alerts on the same live WebSocket feed it already runs for the aggregated market — when a listing event arrives, the relevant alerts are checked against it right there.

(once, on the crossing — not while it stays below)
The floor ticks down; the moment it crosses your target, the alert fires once.

The payoff: alerts cost almost nothing to run, fire within seconds of the on-chain change, and add zero extra calls to Tensor or Magic Eden.

Delivery, lifetime & control

  • In-app + Dialect, always on — a live toast and a persistent inbox, plus Dialect, which relays your alert to email, Telegram and the channels you connect (muteable separately). No toggle to forget.
  • A lifetime you choose — 1, 7 or 30 days. The alert and its records self-delete at the end, so nothing lingers.
  • Pause / resume — silence an alert without losing it. The lifetime keeps running while paused.
  • Renew — when an alert is near expiry, extend it in one click to keep it longer.
  • Edit & delete — change the price or lifetime, or remove it, from the Notifications panel.
Set it a touch below the floor
For a buy-the-dip alert, target a little under the current floor — that's the move you'd actually act on. With Repeat off you get one clean ping; with it on, the alert re-arms after your tier's cooldown so you can catch repeated dips.

Active-alert slots scale with your Chad tier — one lever that's both real holder utility and a sane cap on load:

Set up a price alert

  1. Open a collection or NFT from discovery.
  2. Hit Alert me on the collection toolbar (floor or trait), or on an NFT page / modal (that item).
  3. Choose the collection floor, a specific NFT, or one or more traits.
  4. Set your target price and lifetime (1d / 7d / 30d), and toggle Repeat if you want it to re-arm.
  5. Manage everything — edit, pause, renew, delete — from the Notifications panel in your account menu.

FAQ

What is an NFT price alert?

A price alert is a standing watch that pings you when a price hits your target — a collection floor, a specific NFT's listing, or the floor of a trait. You set the price and a lifetime; when the market crosses your target you get an in-app toast and a Dialect notification.

What can I set a price alert on?

Three things: a collection floor (any item in the collection), a specific NFT (when that exact mint is listed at or below your price), and a trait — one or more trait constraints (e.g. Background = Gold), which fire when a matching item is listed at your target.

How fast are price alerts?

They're event-driven, not polled. Chadbot evaluates alerts on the same live WebSocket feed it already runs, so an alert can fire on the very next listing event — typically within seconds of the on-chain change, with no extra marketplace calls.

Where do the notifications go?

Always two places: in-app (a live toast plus a persistent inbox in the Notifications panel) and Dialect. Dialect is a notification hub — it can forward your alerts to email, Telegram and other channels you connect, so they reach you even when the tab is closed. There's no channel toggle to manage.

How long does a price alert last?

You pick a lifetime — 1, 7 or 30 days (default 7). The alert and its records self-delete when the lifetime ends, so nothing is kept forever. You can pause an alert (the lifetime keeps running) or renew it to extend the window.

How many price alerts can I set?

It scales with your Chad tier: non-holders get 5 active alerts, and holder tiers get 15, 30 and 50. Each alert also has a per-tier cooldown so a single trigger doesn't spam you.

Price alerts pair naturally with trait bidding (auto-bid the traits you're watching) and the live screener (spot the moves to alert on). New here? Start with the best Solana NFT marketplace overview.
